Wensley 2025!
Welcome to our first post of 2025!
Wensley have made a brilliant start to 2025 with more tricky fractions! As you can see from our working wall, we have been very busy indeed! We have been looking at more equivalent fractions and learning how to subtract them as well as revising how to add them. This will be our last week on fractions, so we are working hard and giving everything our best efforts.
In English, Zebedee enjoyed learning the story of Beowulf this week, " I enjoyed the monsters, the battles and how the story flows." he explained.
Barney enjoyed the Anglo-Saxon story too! "I enjoyed the Monster battle and the giant sword which helped Beowulf defeat Grendel's mother," he said.
In Learning Means the World, we have been learning about Walter Tull, the Fighting Footballer. Jenny said, "I liked learning about his backstory and how he grew up. It was very sad but he showed great perseverance!"
In PE, we have started a new topic all about handball. We are learning the rules and how to play successfully.
"I liked learning how to do accurate overarm throws," said Seth. Watch out for some pictures of handball in action next week!
