Laver Class Blog

What a fabulous week we have enjoyed in Laver!
In Maths, we have been looking at measuring height and length. We measured our heights on a wall in the classroom and described who was the tallest and who was the shortest. Reenie has been brilliant at remembering to use expert vocabulary, including 'tall' and 'short' for height and 'long' and 'short' for length.
In English, we have been writing up our final non-fiction reports. The children have written fantastic reports about different Safari Animals. Including, using exclamation marks, question marks and wonderful facts!
We celebrated British Science week by exploring different fruits to answer the question 'Where do seeds come from?' The children got absolutely stuck in with finding the different seeds in fruits. We found out that oranges and lemons have seeds in their segments and pomegrantes have LOADS of seeds inside of them!
Finally, in PE, we have been practising our ball skills. The children have shown brilliant team work and determination. It is brilliant to see team Laver working together and supporting one another! Special shutout to Arthur for fantastic teamwork and showing encouragement to others.
