General Teaching Assistant

Our Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspirational teaching assistant to enhance our Teaching and Learning Team. We are looking to welcome a colleague who can demonstrate both passion and commitment to making learning memorable whilst improving outcomes for our children. As part of the Federation of Holy Trinity Church of England Schools, the successful candidate will be welcomed into a community of faith which places children at the heart. Our school is unique and flourishes within the city of Ripon; our ethos embodies ‘life in all its fullness’ and is core to the provision and nurture we offer our children and their families. 

This is a permanent post to work alongside teaching staff to provide learning support within the classrooms. This post will require the successful candidate to work within our Federation, providing support for the class teacher alongside some 1-1 bespoke support. The post is 27.5 GTA hours (Monday to Friday 8.45am – 3.30pm) with a 30-minute lunch break plus 0.75 hours per day MSA duties. Both roles will be on scale SCP 2.

SEN Teaching Assistant

The Governors are looking for an inspirational, creative colleague to enhance our Teaching and Learning Team. The post will require the successful candidate to provide 1-1 educational and medical support for pupil/pupils with complex needs within a mainstream setting. The post may include attending to the pupil’s personal needs, and implementing related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.  The successful candidate will work under the direction of the school's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo).

This post is linked to 1-1 funding. Therefore, it is a fixed term post which may be reviewed if further pupil funding is secured. This post is from 01.01.2025 until 31.08.2025.  The post is 31.25 GTA hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.15pm) with a 30-minute lunch. The role will be paid on scale SCP 2.
