Welcome to Laver!

Our Year 1 Laver Class is taught by Miss Lee. Miss Rodgers and Miss Adamson are our Teaching Assistants.

Year 1 is an exciting time of development and learning, from Early Years into Key Stage 1; we are excited to be sharing this journey with each and every one of you! We have some wonderful topics planned for our Learning Means The World, and can't wait to investigate so many new discoveries as a team!

 

 

Our Key Weekly Routines

 

Monday	PE day - please send your child to school in their correct PE kit.
Tuesday
Wednesday	Reading books in.  PE day - please send your child to school in their correct PE kit.
Thursday	New reading books out.
Friday	Praise 9.00am in the school hall.  Library session in school.

 

Home school communication, both to celebrate the good things and tackle any problems or concerns is essential in ensuring the very best education for your child. Parents, please do not hesitate to contact Miss Lee via admin@htceschools.co.uk

As part of our whole school commitment to wellbeing there is no expectation on our staff to read or answer emails sent between 6pm and 8am in the week, or any at weekends or holidays.  Should your email not receive a reply, this is not a case of being impolite but one of choosing wellbeing ahead of workload. 

 

Learning Packs

Each child has been given a learning pack which includes their homework book, planner and reading book. Please ensure your child is bringing in their learning pack every day.

Homework

Thank you to all the children who completed a could/should task on our homework pyramid. We were so impressed with everyone's hard work!

The most important resources for homework are Reading Eggs, Numbots & your school book and planner.
