Esk News!

We have enjoyed another busy week! We have been pancake racing, out on a visit, celebrating World Book Day and competing in a football competition!

We have started our Lent Journey this week! Lent is a 40-day period of reflection and preparation for Easter. We particularly enjoyed pancake racing on Tuesday (Shrove Tuesday) This day is called Shrove Tuesday because it was the day when people would use up all of their perishable foods (things that would go out of date) that they wouldn't be eating during lent. They used them all up on Shrove Tuesday by creating pancakes.

On Tuesday afternoon we visited Bethel Church. We spent the afternoon on a journey through the Bible. The members of staff retold some of the stories. We then created a mime for a chosen story such as David and Goliath, the Promise Land and Daniel and the Lion's Den.

In RE we created our own class Grace. You can read our Grace below.

May the Lord Jesus Christ stay and guide you.

The Holy Spirit will walk alongside you and God will shine from above.

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit will always be with you.
