Esk News!

Welcome to our weekly news!

In Maths, we have continued to learn about fractions. We have learnt about fractions on number lines and have been counting forwards and backwards.

In English we used dictionaries to find the definitions of new words that are featured in our text, 'A Walk in London'.

In Learning Means the World we started a new unit 'Out and About'. We learnt that the United Kingdom is made up of four countries - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Did you know they all have a capital city and a flag?

In Spelling we have been adding suffixes to root words. We added -less, -ful and -ly to a range of words and remembered when we needed to use the different spelling rules.

For example, happy + ly = happily.

In PE we are enjoying our football lessons. We practised passing, stopping and dribbling the ball as well as working as a team.
