It was lovely to see so many smiling faces on Monday as we returned to school. Darcie said "I felt really happy to see my teachers again!"

Scarlett C said her favourite part of our learning this week has been Maths. We are learning about fractions and Scarlett says "I love learning about the denominator and the numerator - it's really fun to do!" 

Suemi enjoyed our virtual tour of London as part of our new English unit "A Walk i London". She said it was fun "because I saw new places I'd never seen before". Archer agreed with her, saying "I enjoyed learning facts about the places in London."

Guided Reading has also been very popular. We are beginning to explore our new text, Amazing Animal Journeys by Chris Packham. We started by learning a bit about the author which Connie really liked. She said, "I liked learning about Chris Packham because we found out that he loved nature and wildlife since he was a kid, and that's kind of like me."

In Spanish, we are learning more Spanish words for food. We were quite surprised to find out that some words are the same as they are in English but they sound quite different when we practise olur Spanish accents to say them!
