Happy Easter from Nidd!

As we come to the end of a busy term, find out what we have been doing...

Our final swimming session was great fun! We had a 'fun' session in the pool where we played with the floats and the balls. Darcie really enjoyed it when "Will squirted us with water and we had to try to dodge him, I went under the water to dodge it!". We threw balls at the instructors, climbing on the 'rafts' and having lots of fun splashing each other!

We did our final big write in English, writing about a walk around Ripon and using all the historical facts we have been learning. We played some calm music while we took our time writing. Connie told us "I liked it because there was no noise and I could just focus on writing my really long story."

In Learning Means the World, we were learning about the different symbols that are found on an Ordnance Survey map. Scarlett C said she really liked the symbol for the country park because it looked like a child with their parents. Morris particularly liked the symbol for 'rough grassland'. We all drew our own maps and added symbols, along with a key and some of us added grid references.

We said a very sad 'goodbye to Mrs Marsden' on Thursday, We will miss her very much and we all wish her all the best on her new adventures. We hope she will send us a postcard from her travels!

Have a lovely Easter everyone, and we will see you all next term!
