Aire Class Blog

In the final week of the Spring term, Aire class have been finishing their 'describing a journey' writing. Nicholas says we have been using verbs, adverbs and nouns to make our description sound better. Zara has enjoyed English, finding it fun writing so that you can paint a picture in the reader's mind.

In Maths, we finished our work on fractions and practised our column methods addition. Next term we will be looking at decimals. Aire class think these might be quite difficult at first but Ben says we will probably find them quite straight forward once we try them.

After our trip to Ripon Cathedral we learnt more about St.Wilfrid and his role in the history of Ripon. We also learnt about the sequence of events during the battles of Hastings and Stamford Bridge. Arayan thought the Battle of Hastings was a bad ending for Harold Godwinson, especially after his win in the north at the Battle of Stamford Bridge.

We all wish you a very Happy Easter and look forward to sharing all our Summer term learning with you when we return.
