Swale News
Welcome to this weeks news.
We had a fantastic visit to Ripon Cathedral, where we learnt about Anglo-Saxon heritage in Ripon and the importance of St Wilfrid. Joshua said he enjoyed being helpful and helping the volunteers. Sophie and Alva said they enjoyed dressing up as monks and went down into the crypt. Ivy said it was a unique experience being somewhere so old and important to Ripon's history. Olivia enjoyed finding out about some of the Anglo Saxon customs.
We continued adding and subtracting fractions in Maths. Lizzie said we have shown resilience with our fractions in Swale this week!
In Guided Reading, we have been using prediction and retrieval skills as we continued to read 'The HodgeHeg'. The class are really enjoying our current guided reading book!
In PE, we had a visitor who lead us in a session where we learnt a short routine. Archie did a fantastic job bringing in some of his football skills into his dancing!
