Ribble's Class Blog

This week in Ribble we have been having so much fun learning about our new topics.

Starting with maths, we have continued our tricky topic of 'Multiplication and Division' and we have even tackled an end of unit test as a class - which was a success! In English, we have been looking at speech, which we have included in our writing to move the story on as well as add character. This has been very important for developing our story telling.

Lennon has particularly enjoyed researching Roman Emperors in Learning Means The World and, as a class, we are still really engaged with this topic. Laura is finding it so interesting because she particularly loves the history element and thinks that it is really important to know about the past.

In Guided Reading, we have just begun a new, exciting story called 'When We Were Warriors' by Emma Carroll. We have only just started this book but have made interesting predictions about what might happen next. Skye is really intrigued even just a few pages in!

Finally, in art, we have been making clay pots. It has been tricky but very fun. We have been sticking the edges and sides together carefully, and we are all extremely excited to paint them soon.

We look forward to telling you about next week soon.
