We were very happy to see the ice melt so we could venture outside a bit more. This week has seen the launch of our new R.E. curriculum. We have been using the 'Big Frieze' which is pictures representing 8 key bible concepts. It has been fascinating to explore and see what different images, stories and ideas we could identify. Our key concept this term is Salvation.

In English, we have been using the adventures of Paddington to develop a story mountain. "We are all very excited to write our own Paddington story!" said Lily. We have been focusing on speech and using adverbs to add more information.

In PE, our focus has been introducing handball and starting to create our dances for a competition later this month. We have two very different dances and we can wait to share more information. 

Launching our topic on Vikings has been incredibly exciting. Alva said "I love Vikings!". We have learnt so much already and also been looking at some myths. Did you know, Vikings didn't actually have horns on their helmets?
