Wensley Blog 13.2.25

Welcome to the final week of this half-term.

It might be the last week of this half-term, but we have been incredibly busy with our learning here in Wensley. As you can see from our picture this week, we are very grateful to all the children and parents who donated food to the Ripon Community Foodbank - it will be put to very good use. Thank you to everyone who donated!

We have started a new guided reading book called 'The Promise' by Nicola Davies. We have been learning about how small acts of kindness can effect big changes. It is a book about how we can do better at looking after our planet and promoting green spaces.

Maths this week has seen us multiplying fractions. Wensley were a little worried about this at first but managed it really well. Leo said, 'It seemed quite hard at first, but when you got used to it, it was really easy.'

PE this week was bringing all our handball skills together in lots of mini-games. Mr Vitalli was very impressed with the progress in skills but mainly with the super sportsmanship of every child. Well done Wensley! Gloria got a special wristband for great sportsmanship, super teamwork and positive body language throughout the half-term. Fantastic Gloria - we are very proud of you!

In Learning Means the World, we enjoyed a great afternoon learning all about animals and their gestation periods. We produced lots of excellent research and turned our data into fantastic graphs.

Have a lovely half-term break!
