The pace towards Christmas continues to intensify at Hornblower! Our class very much enjoyed becoming ferocious pirates in the music lesson, singing with gusto about being pirates. Honour said, “I’m a really angry pirate!”

In PE, the class were delighted that Mr Banks from Sporting Influence got out all the hall’s various climbing frames and gym apparatus. The class were superb in approaching the activities calmly and safely. Mr Banks was extremely impressed by the class’s approach and called them ‘brilliant’. After a morning of exciting PE and art, Stanley said his morning was, “Totally awesome!”

Thank you to everyone who has sent in clothing for the nativity. It’s shaping up really well, and we look forward to seeing lots of you next Tuesday for the performances!

In maths, we loved exploring symmetry. Using mirrors, the whole classroom was examined carefully for symmetrical shapes and objects. Ophelia said it means, “something is equal on both sides.” Good explaining, Ophelia!
