We have had another amazing week at school!

In English we have started a new unit called Mog's Christmas Calamity. We really enjoyed watching the Sainsbury's Christmas advert. Sineth said that his favourite part was when Mog was swinging from the fan in the kitchen! Emily liked the part where Mog opened the oven and the smoke covered her face!

In Maths we have been learning the 8 times table. We practised counting in 8s to tune of 'This Old Man'. Miss Beswick has been really impressed with us!

In Learning Means the World we have been learning about Athens and Sparta. We discussed what it would be like to live in the different city-states. Did you know that in Sparta the main focus in school was military training! In Athens, only boys were allowed to go to school. The girls had to stay at home as they didn't have as many rights compared to boys.

We are continuing with the text 'The Pea and the Princess' in Guided Reading. We have started to read the book and found out that the story is told from the pea's viewpoint. The pea grew in the palace allotment that belongs to the Queen. We are excited to find out what happens next!
