We have been busy practising for our Christmas play! Families are welcome to attend Holy Trinity Church on Thursday 12th December at 2pm and 6pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
In Maths we have been revisiting the column method to solve a range of word problems.
In English we have been learning about verbs and adverbs. We used our new knowledge to create WOW sentences based on the different scenes from Mog's Christmas Calamity. Margot also kindly brought in 'Mog's Christmas'. We enjoyed reading this and spotting the similarities and differences between our texts.
In Spanish we learnt the numbers 11-15. We then used our new numbers to play a game of Spanish bingo!
In Guided Reading we read the whole book and were surprised to find out that the princess was actually the gardener at the palace! We discussed whether she was a true princess. Tiana thinks she is a true princess because she felt the pea whilst she slept! However, Margot thinks she's not a true princess because the pea whispered in her ear all night to make her think that the bed was uncomfortable!
We were very excited to come into school on Monday to see the Christmas decorations! We helped Miss Beswick and Mrs Poole to decorate our classroom tree! It was lovely to add our own decorations to the tree. As a class we designed our own advent candle as an angel ready for worship on Monday.
