Esk News

We have had another busy week in Esk!

In Maths we have started a new unit 'Multiplication and Division'. We learnt the vocabulary 'rows' and 'columns' and applied this when looking at equal groups.

In Guided Reading we predicted what our new story 'The Pea and the Princess' would be about. Noah thought that the pea would turn into a football! Linden thought the pea would swap places with the princess because the title has changed from the original version 'The Princess and the Pea'.

In Learning Means the World we have been looking at the geography of Ancient Greece. We started the week by creating a poster all about the geographical features of Greece. Did you know that 80% of Greece is made up of mountains? There are also many different seas that surround Greece, such as the Ionian Sea, Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.

In our art lessons with Mrs Needham we have designed our own Greek pots. We are really excited to start making them!
