Happy Christmas!
As we reach the end of term, what festivities have been happening in Nidd?
It has been a week packed with festive fun (and some super learning!) in Nidd class.
We began the week by bringing our Learning Means the World unit to a close. We looked at the legacy of the Ancient Greeks and the ways in which we are still influenced by them today. We were amazed to discover that many of the words we use have their origins in Ancient Greek, such as dinosaur and helicopter!
Our Christmas party on Monday was lots of fun, with dancing, games and competitions. Everyone had a great time.
A big thanks to Mrs Vickers who baked cookies for everyone on Wednesday while we watched a pantomime, together with Esk class, on screen.
We are all so impressed by the children's behaviour and singing in church on Thursday, they really did us proud. This was followed by our Christmas lunch, complete with crackers and even a visit from Father Christmas!
Have a wonderful Christmas break and we look forward to all being together again in January!
