Swale News!
We have had a lovely start to Advent and are excited to share our news this week.
This week we have been in church practising our performance and the highlight was when Year 3 children joined us yesterday. We are all very excited to share our nativity with you. Joshua said the Christmas production will be "amazing!"
In Maths, we have been continuing with multiplication and division and thinking about multiplying 3 numbers together. Ted said "it was tricky to begin with" and Hemanika said once she understood it, it became much easier to work the problems out.
For our spelling, practise, we have been focusing on the sound 'a' and looking at the different rules for using 'ay', 'ai' and 'a-e'. Children have been creating sentences using those words.
We created our own class advent calendar. Each envelope contains a different Christmas song or carol that we can sing together as a class. Ivy thinks it is fun to hear lots of different types of songs and is excited to see what will be next.
In PE, we have continued to develop our hockey skills, focusing on how to defend and use the reverse stick.
As a reminder, our dress rehearsal is on Tuesday, so please could all costumes come into school by Monday at the latest. Our production is on Thursday 12th December at 2pm and 6pm at Holy Trinity Church. Don't forget Elf Day on Friday!
