We have had a lovely first week back in Swale. We were very excited to be on the field at break times and lunchtimes as well as finding out the topics we will be studying this term. 

Swale are excited to launch our new Learning means the World topic, which is called Picture our Planet. The first country we have started to learn about it Brazil, and we have been thinking about what makes it a unique country. Alva was amazed to find out about how diamonds and gold can be found in Brazil. Joshua is excited to learn about the Amazon. 

In English, we have started a new book called Flotsam. This book is different to other books we have read as it is a picture book. Lizzie said you have to study the pictures closely to look for clues about what is happening.

In Maths this week we have started learning about decimals. We have been using place value tables and number lines to help us. Joshua said he is enjoying what he is learning in maths because it is his favourite topic!

In RE, we've begun an exciting new topic all about Sikhism. It has already been fascinating to build on what we already know and start discovering more about the special places that are important in the Sikh faith.
