Swale Blog Post 1

Super Swale have had an awesome week and the children are very excited to tell you about it.

In English this week we have started a new book called Blue John. Ivy said she loves the vocabulary used in the book to describe the characters. We have also been focussing on new ways to check our spelling and Archie thinks it is a good way of making sure we are correctly spelling words we will be using throughout the unit.

In Maths, we have been learning multiplication and division. Lily said it can be tricky at times, but she is enjoying it because it is helping us all to learn our multiplication and division facts.

In PE, we have started our dance unit. We have been learning some 'poses' linked to our law and order topic and created a routine around the theme of 'Secret Agents'. Daisy enjoyed the warm-up to "Shake it off".

In RE, we have started thinking about life as a journey. We created our own 'support tree' and Lizzie enjoyed thinking about who helps and supports us.

We launched our Learning means the World Unit 'Law and Order' with a trip to the Ripon Museums. All the children in Swale thought it was the best part of the week! Bayes said he enjoyed the jail and being able to dress up as a police officer. Ali enjoyed Cell 10 with the wooden bed and the bucket in the corner. Freddie said it was the most comfortable bed on earth! Joshua and Avianna said it was the best school trip ever!
