Litton Class Blog
Well it's been another busy week here in Year 6 with so many different things to report!
It was lovely of course to meet with so many parents at parents' evening to discuss children's progress and how well they have settled into Year 6. Nana said he felt a bit nervous about it but excited too and was delighted with how well it went and how positively his teachers were able to speak about him and his work. We have also had a big push this week on using our planners and celebrating the reading we are doing at home by recording this daily. Tilly has really welcomed this focus on reading for pleasure and is keen to show us all her daily comments next week. Please remember to bring them in next week Litton class as we will celebrate all the super examples in class. In English, we have been doing some paired writing to create a settings description from Merlin. The children had to work togetehr and have some constructive arguments about their word choices, sentence structures and punctuation to make these the best they could be and to help with their independent writing. We are blown away with the quality of writing and both Rubi and Charlotte said it was so much fun! Alice, along with lots of other girls, braved the cold on Wednesday as part of girl's football - it really was freezing and we are so impressed with all of you who went out and took part! Finally, Evelyn made a lovely comment today about how wonderful it feels to try your best and to produce such high quality work - she has in fact been in Mrs Sanderson's office as a result and we couldn't be prouder! Well done Evelyn and well doneall of Litton on such a super week!
