Litton Class Blog
We can't believe another week has gone by in Year 6 and we are only 1 week away from the half term holidays! What a jam packed week we have had!
This week has been Children's Mental Health Week - the children have spent time discussing what makes us healthy and how our physical and mental health are so often interlinked. We discussed sleep, exercise and diet as 3 very important ways to ensure we are both physically and mentally healthier.
We have also enjoyed using the apparatus in gymnastics this week - it was so much fun and the children showed such skill in using the equipment. Thursday also saw us enjoying a visit from a Crime Scene Investigator. They talked to us about their job and what it involves as well as conducting an investigation into a crime scene using finger prints and evidence left from the bottom of what we think is Mrs Gomes' shoe! It was fascinating to discover all that goes into investigating a crime and it made a great link into our Learning Means the World topic of The Pendle Witches, who unfortunately, didn't have these technological advances on their side. We look forward to seeing many of you next week at our open event on Friday. Please see the school newsletter for details.
