Ribble's Class Blog

The excitement goes on!
As always, we have had a fun filled week in Ribble.
Lots of children from Ribble have contributed to the school's collection for the Ripon Community Food Bank and the Ripon Salvation Army Food Bank. We are very proud of ourselves and feel grateful that we have had this opportunity to help others who are less fortunate.
Another focus this week has been internet safety. In Ribble, we had some very important discussions about how we need to keep ourselves safe online. We focused on online reputations, keeping personal information safe and scams.
Our English focus for the next few weeks is going to be Shackleton's Journey. Although we haven’t started reading the book yet, we have made some interesting predictions about the expedition that is to come. We have carried out some role-play activities to stage mock interviews so that we could gain different perspectives on the process.
In Maths, we have been learning how to multiply fractions by integers and work out fractions of different quantities. We are feeling glad that we have a topic on fractions again as it is helping our confidence grow.
