Wensley Class Blog

Welcome to the Summer Term in Wensley Class!
Welcome to the Summer Term and hopefully a lot more of that lovely sunshine!
We have started with a very busy week in Wensley with our new English topic based around the book Varjak Paw. We are intrigued already with the opening chapter. We can't wait to discover much more!
I was so proud of the class on Wednesday when we had 18 teachers from all over North Yorkshire coming into our Maths lesson as part of some North Yorkshire Maths Hub training. It was a little daunting for the children (and me) at first, but they rose to the challenge in style! The children were so well-behaved and showed off their Maths knowledge and vocabulary with confidence. They were amazing! There were so many lovely comments from all the teachers about Wensley class; it was lovely for others to see how lucky I am to teach such wonderful children. You should be very proud of them all!
We are continuing our topic on Hatshepsut - the female pharaoh and we are digging deeper into her family and why there is very little left of her legacy in Egypt. Watch this space for lots of power dressing and false beards...
