Spa Class Blog

Welcome to another busy week in Spa Class!
In English we enjoyed the story ‘When You’re Fast Asleep.’ We talked about the different people who work at night and what they do. Freddie explained - ‘bakers make bread.’ Tommy explained ‘workers fix the road.’
In Maths we explored a variety of different sized boxes and helped Santa’s elves choose the right size box for the present. We described the boxes using the shape names rectangle and square.
In Phonics we sang the nursery rhyme ‘Row, Row, Row your Boat.’ We identified pictures beginning with the same sounds and words that rhyme. We listened for the ‘n’ initial sound in words and could sort picture cards into words that started with the ‘n’ sound and words that started with a different sound.
In Learning Means the World we have talked about nighttime worker's jobs and how they need to sleep during the day.
This week we have enjoyed:
Freddy - ‘making Christmas shapes in the playdough.’
Etta - ‘looking after the baby in the stable.’
Theo - ‘making paper chains.’
