Skell Class Blog w/b 6.1.25
We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year!
This week has been an exciting week for us in Skell Class. We have been telling our friends and teachers all about what we got up to over the Christmas Holidays.
In Phonics, we have been recapping the phase 3 sounds we started learning before Christmas. We are all doing really well remembering them and noticing whether they are digraphs or trigraphs.
In English, we have been looking at 'How to Catch a Star'. We have looked at and explored some of the language used. We also looked at the pictures and used the colours of the sky to help us figure out what time of day it was.
In Maths, we have been learing about the number zero. We have also been looking at stopping numbers and matching the numerals to the quantity.
In Learning Means the World we have started our new topic, which is Food Glorious Food. We started by exploring crunchy food.
We have all enjoyed talking about the snow and winter. We have been outside using the snow to help us learn, especially helping our fine motor skills.
