Skell Class Blog
Welcome to Skell class blog!
In phonics this week we have been reviewing what we have already learnt as we have finished all of our Phase 2 sounds. We have been trying to make tricky words stick, we are getting better at sight reading them!
In maths this week we have been looking at numbers 4 and 5, we were all super of showing 4 and 5 in different ways using cubes. As a class we repressed 5 in 8 different ways.
In English this week we have moved onto our next book, Whatever Next! We have also been carrying on our sentence writing. Lots of us have been having a go at writing sentences about things we have been doing or enjoy.
In Learning Means the World we have been exploring the roles of the Police and Firefighters in society. We looked at our fingerprints and realised that they were all different. Toby noticed "each of my fingerprints are different, and they are different to my friends."
In RE we have been looking further into the Christmas Story. We made Nativity character puppets to help remember and re-tell the Christmas story.
We have been practising really hard with our Nativity Songs, and we finally got to go on the stage and practice all together.
