Welcome Back Everyone!

We have had a busy first week back after half-term.

We have all been very excited to share with each other what we got up to in the holidays.

In Phonics this week we have been recapping all the phase 2 and phase 3 sounds we have learnt. Miss Davison was so impressed with how fast we were.

In Maths, we have been looking at length. We have been using comparative language in provision to tell our friends which objects are shorter or longer. Edward explained that the blue pencil is shorter than the red pencil. Ivy noticed that two different-shaped blocks, when placed next to each other, were the same length.

In English, we have been exploring a non-fiction book, From Frogs to Tadpoles. We have recapped the differences between fiction and non-fiction and have made a list of facts we already know about frogs.

In Learning Means the World, we have been continuing our topic all about hats. We have looked at top hats. We watched a video all about a cat that wears a hat. We found it very funny because cats don't wear hats. We looked at the difference between a bowler's hat and a top hat and discussed which one we think came first.
