In English, we have been writing our very own kenning poems about monsters! We have created hyphenated nouns and put them into our very own 'Beware!' poems. The children have shown a brilliant understanding of the structure of a kenning poem and have created some fantastic, scary poems!

In Maths, we have been revising our understanding of the tens and ones that make up 2 fidget numbers. The children showed great skills in portioning 2 digit numbers. 

In Science we have continued our work on animal classification. The animal classification song is stuck in all our heads now and the children demonstrated a perfect understanding of why we classify animals the way we do. The children used their knowledge in English when creating their monsters too! 

On Wednesday we went to Outwood Academy to take part in a multi sports event in the morning. The children showed brilliant determination and hard work to complete the different sporting activities and the sun shone down on us, we had a fabulous time!

Easter Fun Day brought lots of joy to our classroom on Thursday! The children took part in a whole school singing assembly at the Juniors site, rabbit hopping races, Easter egg tombola and a egg decorating competition! We had a brilliant day!
