Local Academy Council

What is the Local Academy Councils in an Academy Trust?

The  Local Academy Council (LAC) through a scheme of delegation, has local responsibility for the governance and oversight of the Academy. The LAC at The Federation of Holy Trinity Church of England Schools  comprises a Foundation Governor, the vicar at Holy Trinity Church, elected parent governors and a staff representative. The LAC can also co-opt governors. The LAC has the responsibility for setting: the school vision and ethos; the strategic plan for the academy; the curriculum and staffing structure; and manage the budget at a local level working with the Trust’s Chief Finance Officer.

Local Academy Council

The Federation of Holy Trinity schools currently has a vacancy for a Staff Governor.

 

Attendance relates to the number of meetings attended in relation to the number required to attend.  

The school Office Manager, Deputy headteacher and additional staff members attend meetings as and when required or invited.
